This is a working record of documented encounters spanning 1952 to 1997 — cases with named witnesses, dated events, and, where it exists, some form of independent corroboration: physical evidence, official investigation, contemporaneous documentation, or a second witness.
Every entry here carries a different evidentiary weight. None of them, by themselves, prove what any witness believed happened. The record exists so you can weigh that for yourself.
Sky Watch Group organizes evidence, not just collects it. Every case in the full archive is weighed against a six-level framework, from instrumented, corroborated data down to claims with no verifiable origin at all. The cases below sit mostly at Levels 2 and 3 — independent witnesses and credible single accounts — the tier where most of the historical record actually lives.
A group investigating a bright object believed to have crashed on a nearby hillside instead encountered a tall, glowing-eyed figure. Seven witnesses, contemporary local press coverage, and a national television appearance days later.
Two families reported a night-long "siege" by small beings at their farmhouse. More than twenty law officers responded and documented bullet holes consistent with the family's account.
A young farmer described being taken aboard a landed craft. A credentialed physician's seven-hour cross-examination four months later documented physical symptoms consistent with radiation exposure.
A couple reported a period of missing time after observing a craft, later recalling an examination aboard it under hypnosis with a credentialed psychiatrist. The case that established the modern template.
An on-duty police officer reported an egg-shaped craft and two humanoid figures. Physical landing-gear marks were documented on site. Investigated personally by J. Allen Hynek; Project Blue Book's own file still lists it as unresolved.
Multiple named residents independently reported a large winged figure over a thirteen-month period, ending the same year a real regional tragedy occurred.
A family witnessed several small beings approach their home during a power outage. Subject to a twelve-month, multidisciplinary formal investigation, including two polygraph examinations.
A young police officer logged a sighting in his own patrol book the same night, before any hypnosis touched his memory. Investigated directly by the University of Colorado's Condon Committee.
A woman reported a craft and, weeks later, a vehicle failure and telepathic message on the same road. Filed an official report with the Royal Australian Air Force within a day, preserved today in Australia's National Archives.
Two shipyard workers described an encounter with robotic beings. A secretly recorded conversation between the two men, made to catch a hoax, instead captured genuine, unrehearsed distress.
A family of five reported a green mist and missing time on a drive home, with three family members later recalling consistent details under separate hypnosis sessions.
A hunter's bullet reportedly slowed in mid-air and dropped, later examined and confirmed crushed by a university metallurgist. His truck was found on terrain it could not have been driven to.
A logging crew reported their coworker struck by a beam of light and missing for five days. Triggered a real, resourced law-enforcement search documented at the time.
An Air Force sergeant reported a landed craft and missing time, telling his wife the same night, before any hypnosis touched the account.
Two young boys reported a landed craft and a humanoid figure, independently corroborated by a third child who saw an object in the same area thirty minutes earlier.
Four friends on a canoe trip reported a light enveloping their canoe. A fourteen-month formal investigation followed, including fifteen separate hypnosis sessions.
A group of schoolchildren reported a landed craft. Their headmaster separated them and had each draw what they'd seen independently — the drawings matched.
A farmer reported two small beings approaching him in his field. A consistent, unwavering account across years of repeated interviews by investigators.
A night watchman's report triggered a formal Carabinieri investigation and an official case file reviewed by an Italian magistrate. The same witness reported ten further encounters over the following three years.
A friend present at the scene watched the primary witness rise into the air and vanish — an immediate account, not one recovered later under hypnosis.
A 77-year-old fisherman reported being examined and turned away as "too old." A Ministry of Defence officer independently confirmed something unusual had likely been seen that night.
Children in a public park reported a landed craft and a tall being. Covered directly by Soviet state media, an unusual instance of official government acknowledgment.
Sixty-two children independently reported a landed craft and a being during morning recess, interviewed separately by a journalist and, later, a Harvard psychiatrist.
Three women reported a creature the same day the whole town witnessed unexplained military activity, later corroborated by a hospital neurosurgeon on camera.
A Marine on a real, documented deployment reported a crash-retrieval encounter, corroborated only by his own consistent account across twenty-five years.
This record continues to grow. Cases are added only after independent verification, and every entry is dated to reflect exactly how it was sourced.
